International Exhibition on Gas Produced by Organic Materials

BIOGAS EXPO 2009 is the first exhibition in Italy that focuses exclusively on technology, machinery, equipment and services for the industry of biogas from residential organic, forestry, agricultural and food waste. The purpose is to promote and support the development of a new and rapidly growing sector in Italy and the Mediterranean area, one that promises to afford an invaluable opportunity for the development of agriculture and livestock farming.

BIOGAS EXPO 2009 will be held in Milan from 25 to 28 November 2009, and will bring international supply and demand together, as well as help understand and exploit the potential of a rapidly expanding market. In the future, in fact, the industry will be increasingly stimulated by the environmental policies of the European Union and by national laws that aim to promote the growing use of biomass as a response to the energy emergency and climate problems due to greenhouse gas emissions.

BIOGAS EXPO 2009 will be held as part of GREENERGY EXPO 2009, the new International event dedicated to companies and professionals who want to “produce energy while saving the Earth” alongside the following exhibitions: COGENEXPO 2009 (cogeneration and trigeneration), GEOTHERMICA 2009 (geothermal energy and heat pumps), ENERLEGNO 2009 (wood-based energy), EUROPELLETS 2009 (pellets and heat production), HYDRO ENERGY 2009 (mini hydroelectric energy), ENERGY MARKET 2009 (free energy market).
